Inspired by nature. Crafted by hand.
My botanical sculptures begin with a living leaf, carefully selected and used to create an original concrete form. From this original, I make a silicone rubber mold capturing the intricate shape, contour, and texture of the leaf.
Then, using this mold, I hand cast the final sculpture in a custom stone blend developed through years of experimentation. Composed of high-strength gypsum, acrylic polymer, and glass fiber reinforcement, the material allows for remarkable detail, strength, and a refined stone-like surface.
The final works are then individually painted by hand using a variety of dyes and finishes resulting in pieces that are truly one-of-a-kind. Due to the nature of the painting process, no two works are ever exactly alike.
